About Me

I started SN Photography over ten years ago with a simple belief: the best portrait is the one where you forgot the camera was there. That hasn’t changed.

Based in South Africa, I specialise in portrait and people photography — from professional headshots to deeply personal sessions. I work with individuals, couples, families, and brands who want imagery that feels real, not manufactured.

My approach is collaborative. I’m not interested in posing people into something they’re not. I’d rather have a conversation, find the angle where you look like you, and let the rest happen naturally.

Why StefsEtherealDream?

After eight years of portrait photography, I started craving something different — work that didn’t need to be clean or commercial.

StefsEtherealDream is where I experiment. It’s portraiture through a surreal, dreamlike lens: unusual lighting, unconventional editing, and a willingness to make something strange and beautiful.

Timeline / Milestones

2010 - ST Photo was founded.

2016 — Rebranded to SN Photography. First portrait sessions, learning the craft through hundreds of shoots.

2018–2022 — Built a steady client base across portrait, corporate, and event photography. Developed a signature style: clean, honest, bold.

2024 — Launched StefsEtherealDream as a creative sub-brand. A space for experimental, surreal, and conceptual portraiture that pushes beyond the conventional.

2026 — Ten+ years in. Still shooting. Still learning. Still obsessed.
